Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
