Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring near a popular southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Videos shared online depict the chopper beginning to twirl above the shoreline then descending towards the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the accident on that day.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
